2023 - Part Three

I write it longhand. That is the rule of these pieces.

At least for this year, the rule will be that I write them longhand (currently in a notebook that I bought when I was Writer in Residence in Mull, a notebook with birds hand-drawn on the cover by the artist, which seems almost disrespectful to write in when you consider the amount of work that they did just so that I could have this beautiful notebook to write in).

The other rule, at least for now, is that I only write one notebook page for each entry. And so, right here, right now, as I write here right now, we are approaching the end of this entry and all I’ve done is tell you about this notebook. More drama next time, I promise.
