Online Workshop: Theatre-Making as a Spiritual Practice

I’m running an online workshop in June and July about theatre-making as a spiritual practice. You are of course invite, reader. Here’s the official info:

When theatre-making is part of your spiritual practice, how do you make that work?

Creating performance as a divine practice is one of the least talked-about aspects of theatre today, but it is definitely one of the most fun.  Over 20 years on the coalface of theatre making, Katharine Williams has seen and done a lot of it, both in mainstream processes and those built around a spiritual, activist or political theme.  Katharine has often witnessed a power greater than us in action in rehearsal rooms and on our stages.

Whether you lead your own projects, or work in contexts that don’t seem at first to have a spiritual element, this workshop explores ways to protect the heart at the centre of the art, as well as finding ways to honour a higher power in the work.

This inclusive two-day workshop is or people of all spiritualities, and none.  It is suitable for those who might feel confident describing themselves as spiritual theatre-makers and are looking to connect with their tribe, and also to those new to the practice of using spirit, sacred service and the divine as guiding principals.  You are welcome here.  There is space for you in this circle.

The online workshop will run twice: midweek in June to celebrate the longest day of the year, and also on a weekend in July. You can choose the best dates for you.
