Underdrome

I lit Underdrome at the Roundhouse for the artist and choreographer Darren Johnston.

It was a classic cross-artform show (in that they always seem to be bigger than the budgets allocated, because they don’t fit into a ‘usual’ set of criteria for budgeting) and thus it was hugely challenging across the production week. One thing I am aware of is that every technical department was pushing the technology to the max.

Underdrome will always have a fond place in my heart. I think the Roundhouse is one of the most dynamic spaces we have in the UK and I love the theatricality of using it in 360 degree format, as we did.
